Become Registered Licensee

The below process outlines the steps to become registered licensees with GoodWeave

1. Application Process

The IMC Country Offices are responsible for the receipt and processing of all applications from in country producers wishing to become GoodWeave Licensees. The time to complete the application process (from submission of application to license issuance) should not exceed 45 days.

2. Inquiry Verification

All inquiries received for licensing must first be verified with the GWI Business Development (BD) team to ensure valid relationships are in place.

Inquiry from Importer:

If prompted by a GoodWeave licensed importer, the GWI BD team collaborates with the importer to collect exporter contact information and guide the application process.

Inquiry received from Exporter:

Exporters can independently contact IMC Country Offices to request an application. The offices then coordinate with the GWI BD team to ensure the relationship with a GoodWeave licensed importer.

3. Applicant Orientation

Verified applicants receive an information packet from the IMC Country Office. This packet includes an overview of the GoodWeave licensing process, applicable policies, the GoodWeave Standard, and the application form.

Any requested changes to the agreements are reviewed and approved by the GWI Standards and Certification Manager.
